Bio
Brooks is a co-founder and Managing Partner of FinTech Collective.
Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Brooks had a successful career as an entrepreneur and global operating executive in capital markets, payments, and enterprise tech. He was a key executive and officer at New York-based Multex, which successfully IPO’d and exited to Reuters; London-based Serverside, which successfully exited to Gemalto; and Oslo-based FAST, which successfully exited to Microsoft for over $1b. Brooks began his career as an enterprise software developer.
Brooks completed Harvard Business School’s program for Management Development and graduated from Williams College with distinction.

Gareth is co-founder and Managing Partner of FinTech Collective.
Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Gareth was a successful entrepreneur and business leader, who helped build and sell three category-leading fintech companies. These included Multex, which IPO’d and then successfully sold to Reuters; Serverside, which successfully sold to Gemalto, a European digital security company; and CardLab, which was successfully acquired by Blackhawk Networks, a global leader in prepaid gift, reward and incentive technologies and solutions. Prior to starting his career in fintech, Gareth spent three years ‘double handing’ a 36ft sailing boat 33,000 nautical miles from the UK to the Antarctic circle.
Gareth has completed Columbia Business School’s Senior Executive Program and graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc. Honours Degree.

Shreya is a Parter on the investments team at FinTech Collective.
Prior to entering the venture space, Shreya was an operator and Co-Founder of NYC-based fintech company, Wealth Technologies Inc (WTI), a leading AI-based personal financial advice API platform. Shreya built a team of over 40 engineers, designers, and mobile developers while leading the day to day operations of the company. WTI successfully exited to MoneyLion (NYSE:ML) in 2020. At MoneyLion, Shreya continued as Head of Product for Advice where she led the strategy and execution for providing recommendations to ML's 9.5 million plus user base.
Shreya began her career spending six years at Goldman Sachs, first in London and then in New York.
Shreya holds a BSc in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics.
Bio
Sean is a Partner on the investment team at FinTech Collective. He is Head of Digital Assets and leads the firm's decentralized finance (DeFi) work.
A former entrepreneur and world-ranked poker player, Sean helped bring the practice of "poker staking" online using data and analytics. Sean spent five years as an investment banker at Credit Suisse covering financial services and technology companies.
Sean graduated with an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Carlos is a Principal on the investments team at FinTech Collective and leads the firm's work in emerging markets.
Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Carlos was COO of Suyo - a Colombian, VC-backed tech startup focused on property document formalization, which he helped scale to four different cities. Previously, he began his career as an FX options trader for JPMorgan Chase's NYC desk.
Carlos received a BA & BS (magna cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program. He completed an MBA at Wharton and MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School. He has lived in ten cities across six different countries and is fluent in four languages.

Faisal is a Principal on the investments team at FinTech Collective covering the US and Europe.
Faisal started his career in Private Equity with Abraaj Group, spending time in the Dubai, London, and New York offices. He worked on investments in financial services and technology companies across emerging markets. While at Abraaj, Faisal worked on the Network International exit to Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic and was the lead for the firm-wide digital economy taskforce. Faisal then joined UK-based payments startup IrisGuard, backed by Goldman Sachs and IFC, to head Corporate Strategy, where he led both business development and the fundraising process for the Series A.
Faisal graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School, founding the HBS Fintech Club, and a B.A. in Engineering from Yale University.

Sarah is a Principal at FinTech Collective responsible for Marketing and Growth.
Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Sarah spent ten years at Morgan Stanley, most recently in Global Capital Markets as a member of the Equity Syndicate Team, primarily focusing on TMT and international offerings. Prior to that, she worked in Sales and Trading. A former athlete and sports enthusiast, Sarah was the youngest member of the 2006 Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team that won a bronze medal in Torino, Italy. She also co-authored a book on Serie A, the top Italian professional soccer league, as well as a book on the US Men’s National Soccer Team.
Sarah received her MBA with highest honors from Columbia Business School and her B.A. in Economics cum laude from Dartmouth College.

Zein is an Associate on the investments team at FinTech Collective.
Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Zein began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, spending time across their Riyadh, Dubai and New York offices. As a core member of their Financial Services Practice, Zein has primarily pursued opportunities within the fintech space. With a particular focus on digital banking and payments, Zein worked on strategic projects aimed at enabling clients to excel in the digital economy, including building a greenfield digital bank in the UK and developing a new payments solution for the UAE's largest financial institution.
Zein graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Politics and Economics. She previously worked at the Blackstone Group in New York, supporting global capital raising efforts for Blackstone's real estate funds.

William is a member of the DeFi team at FinTech Collective as a Technical lead, helping to perform technical due diligence and research.
William first started working in the blockchain space 5 years ago by forking a well known protocol, Nano - a lattice based cryptocurrency, and adding a virtual machine layer on top for smart contract compilation. From there, he spent the next year working on blockchain infrastructure and research, including at Expa, under the Eco project. William then went on to work and consult for a variety of dApp projects, such as a top 5 pharmaceutical distribution company and for a decentralized crowdfunding platform. Around the same time, William became Cofounder of Timeless, a series seed company focused on calendar and Time Graph/Utility problems.
William spends the majority of his time now researching new decentralized financial and governance primitives, as well as auditing smart contracts.

Ryan is Research Lead of Digital Assets at FinTech Collective and a member of the firm’s DeFi team.
Prior to joining Fintech Collective, Ryan was a research analyst at The Block covering the intersection of fintech and digital assets. Ryan started his career at Deutsche Bank as an equity analyst in Financials & Payments, and later spent time at ConsenSys researching the broader Ethereum ecosystem. His work has been featured on Bloomberg, CNBC, Cheddar, Real Vision, among other outlets.
Ryan holds a MS Finance from Vanderbilt University, and a BS in Economics and Finance from Florida State University.

Kate is an Associate on the investments team at FinTech Collective.
Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Kate spent two years at Goldman Sachs, working in Equity Research on the Internet team, helping cover stocks including Amazon, eBay, Paypal and Uber, among others. While at college, Kate was a member of the Figure Skating team and Tiger Capital Management, and is currently the Class Treasurer. In her free time, Kate loves to visit art museums and galleries, painting and baking all kinds of cakes and cookies.
Kate received her B.S.E in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University.

Samantha Wulfson is an Associate on the investments team at FinTech Collective.
Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Samantha managed fintech investments across Africa and Latin America at FINCA Ventures. Previously, she was based in East Africa leading strategy at NALA, a YC-backed startup focused on building cross-border payment solutions for the African diaspora. She began her career at Morgan Stanley in Equity Capital Markets covering financial institutions and fintech companies. Samantha also volunteers as the mentorship lead and on the venture team for Shaper Impact Capital, a global network powered by the World Economic Forum that connects tech-enabled social impact startups with investors and mentors.
Samantha earned her B.S. and M.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service accelerated dual degree program.

Joe is the VP of Finance at FinTech Collective, responsible for the finance, accounting and back-office functions.
Before joining the firm, Joe spent nearly 5 years in private equity with Leeds Equity Partners, initially as a Fund Accountant before being promoted to Controller in 2018.
Originally from Ireland, Joe graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 2011. In September 2015 he moved to the U.S. after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.
